The Challenge.

Facing the prospect of increasing costs and production disruption, Apollo Tyres needed to rethink its approach to the implementation of a future proofed manufacturing execution system (MES).

Their dependency on legacy systems made it difficult to deploy new functionality and restricted access to core production data, which held back operational efficiency initiatives.

The Solution.

With the output industries digital manufacturing playbook the collaborative cross functioning team begin to unpack problem statements to truly understand the business logic and shop floor process that needed to be incorporated into the new MES.

Through simulation testing in a purpose built lab the team were able to test functionality with physical hardware quickly to validate solutions and gather all important user feedback throughout the process.
